Nick Pate

The Story

Nick Pate turned pro in 2018 after a decorated run at Midland University, where he won the 2017 Intercollegiate Singles Championship, earned NCBCA First Team All-American honors twice, and was named tournament MVP in 2015 and player MVP in 2016–17. He graduated with a degree in psychology the same year he claimed his singles title.

On tour, Pate's career-best finish came at THE STORM CUP: PBA David Small's Kokomo Championship in 2022, where he placed second. He holds two PBA Regional Tour titles and made his first PBA television show appearance with a third-place finish at the Go Bowling! PBA Indianapolis Open.

Pate's biggest accomplishments have come representing his country. A member of Team USA five times (2017, 2019–2022), he's collected five gold and two silver medals internationally, including a singles gold at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru — where he also bowled a perfect game. He bowled a second perfect game that year at the PABCON Men's Championships.
